Food: Don't Waste It!

Here's a poster by typography and cartooning master F.G. Cooper, made during the war to inspire people to save food. He did a couple like this for the U.S. Food Administration.
I saw somebody selling a couple copies of this poster on ebay today and started fooling around with thier scans. I doctored them up and made a nice hi-res two color version that I could print out for myself sometime.
Labels: cartoonists, F.G. Cooper

I just bought this sign for $15 at an antique shop in Concord, New Hampshire and have since found out its origins. Funny that a lot of the same advice on food has come around again!
I'm campaigning for less food waste at my university and just stumbled across this - is it copyrighted or anything, or would I be able to use it? For a good cause!
Laura--i think it is old enough to be considered "in the public domain" at this point, as it was created between 1914 and 1918. Plus, i don't think anyone would mind much--especially if you are keeping the spirit of the piece alive!
Andrea is right on all counts! I can email you a PDF if you want, Laura
Hey! This is awesome, and I would love to print it out and hang it up in my apt. Do you think you could email me a .pdf of it--when you get a chance? Thanks so much!
